Checkers
Catering and Special Events has been family owned and operated
for over 18 years, providing exceptional cuisine and extraordinary
service to the greater San Francisco Bay area. Checkers specializes
in daily corporate catering, barbecues and picnics, and special
events.
“SET UP &
GO” corporate catering is a signature weekday delivery
service catering executive breakfasts to multiple-day training
meetings. We deliver your order, set it up for you, and provide
sturdy disposable plates, utensils and paper napkins. We return
later or the following day to pick up our equipment.
Our “Special Event”
department plans full-service barbecues, chamber mixers, home
builders’ open-house events, weddings, holidays and
any other special occasion can you think of. We create theme
events and offer international food stations, tabletop décor,
floral arrangements, entertainment, and all your rental equipment
needs.
Based
in Livermore wine country, our home is a spacious 10,000 square
foot facility with a state-of-the-art kitchen, a warehouse,
production and administrative offices, and a spectacular special
event showroom!
President, Denise Slavitt
has created a warm, fast moving environment for herself and
her 25 full-time employees. Eager to contribute to the growth
of the community Denise serves on the Board of Directors of
the Tri-Valley Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, is a
member of the Livermore Valley Winegrower’s Association
and the Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore and San Ramon Chamber’s
of Commerce, as well as a member of the ASTRA Women’s
Business Alliance.
In 2004 Checkers Catering
was voted a top 500 women owned business in the United States
by DiversityBusiness.com, and was certified as a Women’s
Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise
National Council (WBENC), whose mission is to advance the
success of certified women's business enterprises, government
agencies and corporate members in partnership with its affiliated
women's business organizations.
We are also recognized as
a Bay Area Green Business committed to environmental values,
a safe workplace and a healthy community. Most recently, Checkers
was named one of the top 50 fastest growing private companies
in the East Bay, by the East Bay Business Times.
