| CHECKERS E-NEWS Spring 2006 - Home April Menu Special Meet Jose Mayorga!
Jose began working for Denise in 1988, when Checkers was actually the Cactus Café in Concord, CA. He really enjoys his position at Checkers working in both the Corporate and Special Events divisions, wearing many different hats. He is a driver, delivery person; a special event captain and is responsible for the smooth operation of the warehouse and equipment inventory. He loves the Checkers family and especially working for Denise all these years. Checkers is Jose's second home. He is a single father of five children and grandfather of two. He lives with his sister Ana and the two are very close. When he was younger Jose wanted be a children's counselor to help and mentor young children. His favorite movie is "Rainman" which he watches over and over again, and if you were to ask him if he'd like a steak and lobster dinner, he'd say "No, thanks - I prefer rice, beans and tortillas!" So, next time your Checkers breakfast delivery arrives, or we cater your company picnic - look out for Jose, and be sure to say "hi" he loves to meet his clients and his clients are very fond of him too. |
Born in Guatemala
City in Central America, Jose immigrated to the United States
when he was 14 years old. He is an avid sports fan, and
especially enjoys watching and playing soccer.
