CHECKERS SERVICE

Reflecting Personal Style

A wedding is a highly significant occurrence in a couple’s life. It symbolizes the union of families, celebrated through a joyous event that allows everyone to partake in the traditions of old and new. But caveat emptor… a wedding can become a complicated event. Checker’s has expertise in planning and fully producing a small intimate wedding in a home - to a full blown night in the city for hundreds.

Checkers starts the wedding planning process with a list of questions that includes base information such as the number of guests, the event time frame and the event location. But our event coordinators have found that the most important thing is to capture the bride and groom’s personal sense of style and then translate it into specific elements of the event. This could be a menu based on the couple’s ethnic heritage, an incorporation of a traditional family or religious activity or even a plan that leans toward an intrinsic lifestyle or value that the couple shares.

A wedding may also contain mini-events that supplement the main reception. Some of these types of services through Checkers has included:

• Greeting out-of-town guests with a special gift basket
• Providing special items for guests based on the location of the wedding
• Integrating the rehearsal dinner into the overall wedding plan
• A private family dinner following a more public and open wedding and reception
• Dressing room fruit plates and other healthy snacks and beverages
Checkers can accommodate every element of the wedding including:

• Rentals of china, glassware, tables and chairs
• Assistance in locating a venue
• Integrating the overall sense of style into the menu
• Creating signature drinks or signature deserts
• Coordinating special items such as valet services, center floral pieces, cakes and entertainment.
• Provide the proper tents, canopies and market umbrellas, in addition to ensuring the proper protection of the food and beverages at outdoor venues.

Remember, the most important aspect in planning a wedding is to identify the bride and grooms sense of personal style. This ensures that their personal touch will be present through-out the whole celebration and create a life-long memorable event, not only for the bride and groom, but for every guest in attendance.
